I doubt it will be solved before the season starts. It will be legal back and forth, and a lot of "I don't like that judgement, I want to appeal" bullshit.
I see it the other way, actually.


The players gave their best shot, and it didn't work. Now the league has the leverage.
Even without the contract breaching TV money, the owners can weather a lockout financially better than players. Especially since a player's earning years are so limited. The NFL gains back all of the leverage, and the players have to take a less than favorable deal.

Which is great in the short term, but sets us up for a strike in the future, most likely.
