I'm guessing it's the religious beliefs of the the In-laws and fiance not Roethlisberger's.

I'm guessing the parent's religious beliefs aren't all that strong if they're ok with their daughter marrying Benny Date Rape. Maybe they're not ok with it. In that case, HER religious beliefs can't be all that convicted if she's ok with marrying a guy who's been accused of rape twice.
