I see the same issue with NFL replay as comes up with MLB replay discussions. The goal of the refs on the field is to manage the game to be within the rules, and to get the calls correct impartially. As long as use of technology doesn't significantly impact gameplay, why wouldn't you want to use every tool you can to achieve those goals? Human element keeps cropping up, but that's a bunch of bull. I don't care if an ump has a wide strike zone, as long as it's consistent. Likewise in the NFL, I want a catch to be a catch in every game, not some of the games. Whatever tool you need to use to get it right HAS to be considered.
