A pro athlete could walk into any bar, offer to buy a woman a drink, act like a complete gentleman but still get accused of something.

Exactly! If you're out and you offer to buy a woman a drink (married or no) it's not an act of assault or cheating or anything. It's just being generous. All the woman has to do is decline. If the guy persists then it becomes unwanted attention. In the case of being married, who knows just what type of relationship the player and his wife have. Perhaps she doesn't mind him going out and having a good time here and there. Perhaps she thinks he's earned it now and again. Who knows?

I am gonna wait and see, but I think this is someone blowing some hot air to get some attention. Unless there are some rock solid witnesses to this
"incident" who have no affiliation what-so-ever to the party making the claim, I don't think this person has a leg to stand on.

I will say I do agree the guys do need to be a bit more mindful of the situations they are potentially getting themselves into. Considering the problems that have happened in the past, pro athletes need be careful
