It was 22-17 until Rex Grossman threw a Pick 6. Manning didn't dominate that team.
Manning didn't dominate that game with his passing but with his willingness to use the running game and ability to pick up key 3rd down conversions. I will say he was basically a game manager instead of being an impact player for most of the game.

The running game accounted for 191 yards in that game, and they got a defensive TD as well.

Manning had 1 TD and 1 INT. His impact in that SB really was minimal compared to the rushing attack, and defense.

He didn't lose it, but he didn't do anything special either.
The rushing attack and not kicking to Hester is what won them the game. Nobody expect the Bears offense to do much in that game and the defense held serve while their offense completely controlled the game.
