Most people think their Rivalary is the best. I think one needs a bit of audacity to say one is "better" or "bigger" then the other.
Individually, I'd agree.

But I think it's possible to pull back and look at divisions.

And I don't think there are any other divisions that stack up to the NFCN and NFCE. Part of that is because of the realignment in 2002 - the AFCN is probably 3rd (but it sure would help if the Browns could be competitive).

But I look at the teams in those top two:

Vikings, Packers, Bears, Lions

Cowboys, Eagles, Giants, Redskins


Even though the Skins are the current 'weak sister' of the East, those games are still rivalry games, and they play tough. The Lions have fallen so far, I think they are more pitied than anything else.

Once the Lions prove to be competitive, I guess there could be an argument in favor of the North. But they'd have to win more than just a few games here and there - they'd have to play spoiler, or offer a few beatdowns in the playoffs...
