Weren't they #1 in just the AP poll? They certainly should have been in the championship rather than Oklahoma, but would they have won? Who knows.

At the end of the bowl season it was only the AP poll because the coaches have to vote for the winner of the BCS game but I'm pretty sure they were #1 in both prior to the game.
