I figured they'd hold off until next week when Garcia gets his walking papers from Philly.

I thought they might do that too. But I think I'm glad they did this instead. Probably doesn't help for this year if Henne bombs, but it gives them something to start with for next year if that happens. Besides, I thought Thigpen played reasonably well at times on a really bad team in KC last year.
