Like some of us have been saying on the Eagles board, though -- 1st, it draws attention from either a safety or linebacker -- which should help in the running game (whether it's Westbrook or Buckhalter). Second, it gives the defense another guy to focus on besides Westbrook. It won't be quite as great as when we had TO and Westbrook, but it'll be another weapon that helps open up Westbrook and other players in the passing game. Third, he's a better blocker and better overall player than L.J. Smith. Fourth, doesn't hurt to keep him away from the Giants.
