There has to be some merit to this as NFL Network is on my Dish Network programming and I have the basic package which is only 29.99 per month.

I used to get NFLN with basic digital cable, at the start of preseason they put it on the sports tier for $10 more a month. The other channels on sports tier are also owned by Comcast now, they bought some of the regional fox sports channels.
