If the judge wants a 250,000 trust fund set up, what's the point of the monthly payments? The trust fund should be in replacement of the monthly payments and be set up at bank to be meted out in the monthly 3K alotments or a penalty be paid if money above and beyond the normal 3K is requested at any time other than for something like sending the kid to college. Otherwise, that's double dipping and not right. Either make the guy pay the 250K and be done or just the monthly payments.
