How can you call Jeter overrated when he's been a mighty big cog in the Yankees' World Series victories?

The greatest players show up when the pressure is at its highest and the spotlight is the brightest.

Gotta disagree with you on this one. And I hate the Yankees.
He is so ridiculously overhyped by the New York and nationwide media it isn't even funny. That one play he made this year, where he went crashing into the stands... not too many other shortstops go crashing into the stands, because most of them are camped under the ball.

If Derek Jeter played in Minnesota, no one would even consider him to be one of the best shortstops in the game. But he's the captain of the Yankees, and he's been hyped into a first ballot Hall of Famer.
