Was anyone else bothered by the fact that we had an Irish band combined with a Cali pseudo punk band on stage for the pre game show?

WIth all the rich history of music in New Orleans i thought it was outrageous to not have a N'awlins band play. I know U2 was involved with Katrina relief but you would think they would have the sense to step aside and let some other local act get some exposure. Doesnt Bono etal have enough money at this point?

They did a nice job and all but that kind of bothered me. I mean why didnt they just bring out Elton JOhn and Celine Dion to sing the Anthem.
1) The only people that call it "N'Awlins" are tourists
2) Would you rather have heard Aaron Neville?

But really, I agree about the choice of music. But they wanted something rocking, I suppose. Harry Connick Jr is not that, and Better than Ezra is the closest (Baton Rouge) local band that I can think of, but who wants to hear them? Plus, it was the whole thing of U2's guitar player starting the fund for musicians and Green Day's stupid "September" song or whatever it's called.
