Jan. 24 - Though contract talks continue, it would be considered a real surprise if WR Jerry Porter re-signed with the Raiders before free agency opens in March, Pro Football Weekly reported.

Porter apparently would like to test his value on the open market. The 26-year-old WR caught 64 passes for nearly 1,000 yards and nine touchdowns. His best game came against Tennessee in Week 15 when Porter made eight receptions for 148 yards and three TDs.
