Points allowed is not the only measure on how good a defense is. YPG, YPC, YPR, and other stats also factor in. Personally, I would put my money on other defenses like Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and New England. Points against is often a very misleading stat, often merely reflective of the team's competition.
And yards allowed isn't a reflection of quality of opposition as well?

The Eagles' defense has really stepped it up since Trotter worked back into the starting lineup. I figured it was only a matter of time before that happened anyway, since Nate Wayne sucks. I didn't realize how much of an impact it would have, but the run defense has really shored up down the stretch this year.

Additionally, I am wondering where all the people who questioned the Eagles' cornerbacks are right now. As it stands, Brown and Sheppard guys can pretty much shut out almost any WR tandem in the league. And even though Lito is going to the Pro Bowl, Brown has really emerged as a guy who shuts down his man.

The offense has some questions to answer, but has more options available with a healthy Westbrook and an emerging LJ Smith.
