EXAMPLE:
The 0-6 Chargers were scheduled to play the 1-5 Giants....who would want to watch this???
NFL Changes it to
the 4-2 Eagles Play the 5-1 Colts..... Better viewing, Better ratings..... better product for hte fans...
Just my opinion...
I'm with you on this one. The NFL is a business, and games are its product. Wouldn't the NFL want to get its best products (games and players) out to the biggest audience? I definately DISAGREE with both of you. Here's why.
Let's say you're a family of four and you've saved up to bring your kids to their first ever football game. You got Sunday off from your job, but had to take a shift Monday afternoon to make up the hours. Then, just a week (or less) before the game the NFL steps in and moves the Sunday game to Monday night and you can't go.
OR
Let's say you are going out of town to watch your favorite team on the road. You've got a plane ticket that leaves Saturday and comes back monday and hotel reservations for Saturday and Sunday night. All this would be taken care of months in advance to avoid paying out the ass for the ticket. Then, the NFL step in and changes the game from Sunday to Monday. Oops...you're out a thousand bucks unless you can extend your stay.
I think it's a really bad idea, people make plans based on the NFL schedule the day it comes out.
