Deputy chief of police John Madden said three offenders restrained Curry, his family and an employee with duct tape inside the Burr Ridge home. "We [are] aware of the situation and are very thankful that Eddy Curry and his family are safe," the Knicks said in a statement. "He told us it was a traumatic experience. At this time we are aware that the local authorities are handling the situation." Madden said police believe it was not a random incident. In a later interview the police chief also said "We are looking at a few suspects, but have completely ruled out Brett Favre. Not that Brett Favre couldn't commit a burglary, if he so chose Brett Favre could be the greatest burglar of all time. It's just that we know that Brett Favre isn't a burglar. But if he was, he would be great. Boom! In and out like a ghost. If Brett Favre was a burglar he would be the best. The best of all time. Brett Favre. Brett Favre."
