For some reason, his aloof style reminds me of 1984 Downhill Gold Medalist, Bill Johnson. But Bill had the "boy scout" Mahre brothers accompanying him at the games - and they were more comfy with the press than Johnson was.

I remember Johnson talking about how he trained for the downhill once though. He said "guzzle a few beers and point the skis downhill."
