It sounds like a wives tale, but when I thought about it just now, almost all the dog's I have come across in peds alone (100+ dogs) do seem to carry some white, even if it is a splash, slash, or spot. Usually, the dog would carry white on their paws, face, nose bridge, or chest, if the rest of the fur color was of a solid coloring typically.
