Default Worms (maggots?!) in antler chews...
Anyone experience this?! I keep the antlers in a plastic bag when they are done being chewed on.
I took them out the other night and there were little (maybe 1/4") worm lookin things on the chewed parts of them!

I boiled some water and stuck the end with the worms on it, in the water. Obviously killed them and gave them back to the dogs as I didn't see anything else on them.

I don't want to freeze them but I may refridgerate them so I don't have to let them "thaw" out so long before giving them to the dogs.

Anyone else ever have this happen? They came from a local pet store. I've been buying antler's for years and never seen this.

They were stored on top of the fridge with no other food around.
