Maybe the guy who owns the trailer will rent it to you since it's not selling or maybe he would sell it to you as a rent to own. If you decide to do a rent to own look over the agreement carefully and make sure everything is spelled out clearly including what portion of rent goes toward purchase and who is responsible for maintenance on the house, who is responsible for utilities, who is responsible when something breaks, etc.

If I were you, I'd stay away from apartments, though. I don't know about the rest of the country, but around here decent apartments are more expensive than renting houses and you have a lot more restrictions with a lot less privacy.
