I want you to think about something...... you have to eat 3500 extra calories, that is not including the calories you need just to breath and then even more to walk and do anything during the day.... that is 3500 EXTRA calories to gain 1 pound of fat. It s not easy....... Darned near impossible...... so when you see the fluctuation of several pounds in one day or over night, DO NOT register them as real, unless it is a trend that you see happening over several days or even a week. REALLY, you do not need to weigh more than once a day or if you can, once a week.

I suggest a modified version of what Odille suggested, Make it a special event for both you and your husband to take part in. He must be as excited that you are doing this as you are, and looking for ward to the progress. How about he keep the scale and bring it out once a week, the same time, you wearing the same thing and weigh. You can both celebrate the change that is happening. If there is a time when the scale shows a stall or even a gain, then take your measurements and the next week, if there is still a stall or gain, remeasure. Then you will see if you need to make changes.

If you are eating less than 50 carbs a day, you need extra salt. 1/2 tsp a day (taken twice a day in water) or two cups of broth. It gives you energy, eases headaches and all sorts of good stuff........ Once you get used to including it everyday then what is in your food will not cause the fluctuations.

It seems like this is all happening in slow motion and you want it to happen NOW, but this is for life... and if you are going to have children, it is for them as well as you. You are on your way to a new and healthy you....

And remember, eating fat is good!
