My dad tried to get me into golf for the better part of my childhood, and I never really cared for it. I would go play with him, simply because I liked being with him, but I never liked the game himself. Like your son I was more into "x games" type sports, and was always looking for a big adrenaline rush. Now that I've settled down a bit and have to go to work at the end of the weekend, I find I enjoy a sport that is a lot less likely to bring me physical pain. I wish I would have picked it up years ago when my dad tried to get me into it. The good news is I am addicted now and luckily still get to play with my dad.
