Confidence is the biggest factor in my game. If I'm feeling good and know I'm hitting the ball well, I will sometimes try more aggressive shots both off the tee and into the greens. However, if I start losing confidence in one part of my game, the rest is sure to follow. In our club championship a few weeks ago, I went in very confident. I was hitting the ball well. However, on the first hole, I missed a 5 foot birdie. I did the same thing on the second. Missed a 2 foot par putt on 3 and another 2 foot bogey on 4. After that, it didn't take long before my round looked like Hiroshima.
