Default Progressive hip pain ...
Calling all THP amateur doctors!

I've been dealing with some hip pain that is progressively getting worse. When I was younger I used to play a LOT of golf, I was on my highschool golf team. I took a big break once I got out of HS and college (about a 10 year break).

I started up golfing again about 4 months ago and up until about last month I had no issues at all. Then all the sudden one day I noticed a little stinger on my right hip right above my inner thigh. I figured it would go away, but it hasn't it's just gotten worse. The stinger never went away, and became more and more painful.

I've begun to constantly walk with a little limp, whether it is noticeable to other people I do not know, but when I put pressure on my right leg (walking) and release the pressure I feel a short sharp pain that causes the limp. When I wake up in the morning and put my pants on I literally have to brace myself when putting my left leg in because all the pressure caused when standing solely on my right leg makes it feel almost like it's going to give out.

I notice no difference after a few days of rest.

I'm only 27.

Today I went to the range, despite all this (can't stop golfing!) I experience the pain after rolling forward onto my right leg while rotating (I'm left handed) then releasing the pressure. After a full bucket of balls I was limping back to my car.

Anyone ever experience this? For you righties it would be your left leg or the leg you rotate forward on impact.
