There absolutely was luck with Oost's double eagle. When he hit that shot he in no way envisioned it finding the bottom of the cup. I don't think there was any luck with Bubba's. He pulled off the shot he wanted.

As for Oost saying the double eagle messed up his round, WTF? He thought it was over? He had only a slight lead and a whole round to play. That's a weird thing to think and say.

I agree with this. If anything this should have helped him. Rather than trying to make shot happen and climb into lead, WHAM! he did it with one shot. Now he just needs to play his game and let pars and birdies come to him.

I've played in tournys before, and when I make a great shot, it usually continues to carry on to the next hole(s). It's bad shots that are harder to overcome.
