Yeah I know those things, I always thought they were for loosening up more than training. For me it at least told me my grip was right. I had moved the club up the fingers because I had read that you grip it in the first knuckle a bunch of times. But after nearly a year when it just didn't feel right I moved it back down a few weeks ago and I'm hitting it much better lately.
If felt good yesterday morning swinging it in the yard but it sure didn't translate to the golf course.

I hit one nice draw with my driver all day. One wild hook. One straight ball. The rest went right.

3 wood ok. Irons ok. Still just a little shorter than normal.
