I've been picking a spot ever since I read a book by Nicklaus eons ago. I also do it when I putt.
Not just the fairway or green either. A certain part of the fairway or green.

I tried it putting, also. I'm not as worried about putting, but it holds promise there as well. Stands to reason.

Golf My Way, by Nicklaus? I read it, too. Beautiful watercolor pictures in the book. I had no idea how good he was then. I was just starting (about 1987) and was hitting balls I'd colored into the field in back of our house. Hoped our golden retriever would bring them back, but she was more interested in gophers.
