Oasis

Definitely Maybe 5/5 - One of the best albums I've ever heard. Live Forever is banging, so's Supersonic and Rock 'n' Roll Star. Also, does anyone think it's strange that their first single starts with the line "I need to be myself" whilst the second starts with "I'd like to be somebody else"

(What's The Story) Morning Glory 5/5 - Another massive album, nothing after this has been in the same class really. Wonderwall, Don't Look Back In Anger, Roll With It etc. are the soundtrack of a generation. Not mine though, as I was only 3 when this album was released.

Be Here Now 4.5/5 - Wasn't all it was hyped up to be, but didn't deserve to be criticised to the extent that it did for that. Still a brilliant album. My personal favourites are Magic Pie and Be Here Now, as well as D'You Know What I Mean. I also love It's Gettin' Better (Man!!).

The Masterplan 5/5 - A B-sides collection, and some of the tunes on here are amazing. The Masterplan is a classic, Acquiesce is brilliant, Talk Tonight is just class. I Am The Walrus is the best Beatles cover they did by far(although I quite liked Noel's version of You've Got To Hide Your Love Away). In fact, I don't know how they managed to pick just 14 songs for this, some of the other B-sides from this era are great too, like Angel Child, which I really like.
They really need to do another of these; some of their more recent B-sides are just as amazing. (Idler's Dream, Step Out, One Way Road.

Standing On The Shoulders Of Giants 4/5 - I don't know why I've given this 4/5; on reflection, it probably deserves higher. Gas Panic is brilliant, as are Who Feels Love and Go Let It Out. Roll It Over shows that Liam can do those powerful songs that up until this point Noel always did, and Fuckin' In The Bushes is legend.

Heathen Chemistry 4/5 - Stop Crying Your Heart Out is one of my favourite songs, ever. Little By Little, Songbird are good, Hindu Times is class. I don't really like Better Man, though. This doesn't really compare to the previous albums; i actually think it's the worst of the lot.

Don't Believe The Truth 4.5/5 - Three great singles, of which Let There Be Love is the best, and the rest of the album is great too. Mucky Fingers, The Meaning Of Soul and Part Of The Queue stand out for me.

Stop The Clocks 3.5/5 - Their so called 'best of' album. Got some good songs, some okay songs, but there are so many that they missed; none from Be Here Now, for instance. The whole double disc for only 18 songs thing was kind of annoying, too. It was also supposed to have the song Stop The Clocks on it, which to this day I have yet to hear.

Dig Out Your Soul 4.5/5 - A return to form, of sorts. More like the first two than any previous, yet completely different at the same time. I'm Outta Time is legend, shows that Liam can write massive songs when he wants to. Falling Down and (Get Off Your) High Horse Lady are brilliant too.

Now excuse me while I spend the rest of the night listening to Oasis.
