I had lapband surgery in Feb 2005. I lost 150 lbs (from 322 to 170) in 17 months. After being morbidly obese all of my life I thought that was fantastic. I had surgery to remove excess skin over the course of 18 months. Slowly started gaining a bit back. My band just does not work like it did the first year or so.

Summer of 2010, I found hcg. I'd crept back up to 230 lbs and dieted here and there. My metabolism was shot. To lose weight, I'd have to eat under 750 cals a day and exercise like crazy. Then I'd be lucky to lose a pound a week. Over 3 rounds of hcg, I lost 85 lbs down to low range for a normal bmi and 19.1% bodyfat. The lapband people keep asking me what I did.

Best of all my metabolism reset. After just my first round, I could eat 1600 to 1800 cals a day and maintain my weight.
