I had read about the 34 lbs. but had also read that if you have more than X. amount of pounds to lose that it's okay to lose 40 or so. I wonder if the 34 lbs. (or 40) includes the weight that is gained during loading days or if it's really meant to apply to the pounds lost AFTER losing the loading pounds.
According to Dr. Simeon's, it would be based upon your loading weight.

The average loss of weight is calculated on the number of effective doses and from the weight reached on the day of the third dose, which may be well above what it was two days earlier when the first dose was given. Hope that helps.
