i was taking effexor during R1- after having some success with weight loss and feeling better about myself for getting thinner and being in control, i started weaning off (i had been on it for 12 years!). i've just completed R2, and have now been totally off effexor for over a mo. my weight loss was the same/day in R1 and R2, so i don't think it will affect your loss.
