Try to gain the majority of sustenance from your protein and veggies, and view your fruit as an extra.. I try very hard to start my day off with protein and then use fruit to keep my blood sugar from bottoming out later in the day between meals if needed... just a suggestion, I think your hunger issues will improve with your dosage changes. Sending positive vibes your way!
