Food Diary?
I thought it might help me keep up with my food intake and calories by starting a Food Diary. I found one on MedHelp, which seems to be fairly simple and has all sorts of trackers, too. Part of my "newbi-ness" seems to be that I have to really
think
about grams/ounces/servings/calories. So I can input how many calories there are per ounce or tablespoon, and then save that food to my page to use again. i.e. I had a hamburger patty sauteed in Braggs' aminos and cucumber. I dumped the meat onto my scale (111 grams), converted that into 3.86 ounces, and input 3.88 ounces as my serving size and came up with 155 calories. Then I calculated a large cuke (300 grams) was about 36 calories.
Anyway, does a Food Diary tend to help, or does it tend to become more trouble than its worth? And if it's worthwhile, does anyone have a site where food values are calculated into grams already?
