Often dogs fed a raw food diet (or dogs that are given bones regularly) have perfect teeth that never need brushing. My dog is fed a complete dry diet with the occasional treat of raw bones, and I do brush his teeth occasionally when I feel he needs it. I use Logic gel and a normal toothbrush. I also have a tooth scaling tool for removing any buildup.
