Personally I would never have a dog neutered unless I had good reason to (medical reasons/behavioural problems etc). If it aint broke, why fix it?

as long as you have adequate control over your dog to prevent accidents from happening.
It is fine to compete with an intact dog - I used to, and had no problems. Many people do. And if you end up with a fantastic agility dog his genes may be in demand (as long as he has good health test results of course!).
