"Tagg" - the Pet Tracker
There's a new device out in the states. It's a small GPS chip that you attack to the collar of your dog and looks like this
And then they've got both Apple and Android apps for tracking it.
So if your dog ever gets lost or escapes, you can track them.
Of course - not much good if they get stolen, as I imagine the people will just take the collar off - although they may not realise it's a GPS tracker and leave it on!
It's waterproof too so they can swim with it.
But the downside is it runs off a small battery, it comes with a docking station and you can recharge it and it sends you a message to your app when it's low on battery.
It's being sold in the US for $99.95 including the docking station to charge it, and then you have to subscribe to the GPS tracking at $7.95 a month for the first animal, then just an extra dollar for every additional animal.
Seems quite cheap to me for what it does. But would you use it?
