Collars are a very useful tool tbh, my old cat got clipped by a car outside our house, problem is the bloke driving was in a rush to get home so couldn't go looking for the owners, he took homer the 50 mile drive to his home, got a et out etc. then used the collar to contact us.
Other times homer went for his walk, did it quite often here he wouldn't come home for days. And he got trapped in someone's she'd. The owners found him, fed him and called us up.
