Ooo good topic. Mine are bit of both, one would prefer to be an indoor cat but doesn't abide by the indoor rule and messes in the same place everytime so she has to be an outdoor cat at night time (with a box, a blanket and occasionally a hot water bottle all underneath the shelter of our front door). But she does it in teh day too so we have to always keep an eye on her because she just hates going outside and we don't have cat litter trays. The other cat likes to be outside but she is really dopey and she's my mums best friend so she has to be in at night but they both never leave the garden (or they go next door and attack the birds sometimes).
