I have 3 cats, one ventures outside for the day, almost all day, one is rather scared of a lot of things and is generally inside. The other cat, a kitten, is just learning to go to the toilet outside and he is loving it. All our cats venture out rather far and in the front near roads as well, they seem pretty safe when they are outside, they are wary of roads, usually.
