That's pretty knarly Hera.
My wife has been trying to get the "old 84's" going for the last few years, but I think our high summer temps the last few summers have shut them down from any meaningful production.
In their best years, they would also produce those "tomatoes growing out of tomatoes" fruit. Real big and knarly.
These were an heirloom plant that my wife's grandfather got from someone in North Carolina in 1984. For the last 3 or so years, we've only been able to get a handful of fairly small normal fruit in late fall. We save the seed and try again the following year, but getting no fruit production during the summer.
I think I heard from someone that Black Krim was a fairly heat tolerant strain.
