Just sitting here with Gary Barclay talking about the music of Vancouver's jazz past. Noticed your posting on the Sound Gallery.

It was at 4th and Bayswater (site of a sushi place now). It was my painting studio and the Al Neil Trio rehearsal space until we started doing live weekend concerts with light show, dancers and poets in march 1966. then we moved downtown to the Motion Studio. It's all on my website: http://www.greggsimpson.com/soundgal...tionstudio.htm

There's one piece by the Trio recorded there on Dec. 15, 1965. It's on the Al Neil double CD, Retrospective 1965--68. It's called Dreamers Exposed.
