Amadeus,
Ahhhhhhhh yeh STRESS...boy can I ever relate...The first thing the doctor told me (after dropping the L. word on me) was to avoid stress...what a joke....especially since soon after I was diagnosed I became pregnant.... at 45...a real blessing, in the long run, but a total shock to begin with...both physically and mentally....
This WOE has been great for me....eating this way seems to be less stressful for my body...I don't fully understand why that's so...I'm just grateful that it is...it's even cut way down on the imfamous "brain fog" that most of us suffer with...
The hardest thing, for me, was to learn to take care of myself while I was SO busy taking care of the new baby, lazy husband (now long gone) and two teenage daughters..It seems like an impossible task...but it CAN BE done...it's just hard, especially for a mother who normally puts the rest of the family first...before her own needs..
If you don't mind me asking...what kind of meds are you on? I've been extremely blessed in that the only thing I've had to take to manage this stupid condition is prednisone...which is the main weight-putting-on medicine around...I think...
The best advice I can give you is to stick with this WOE...listen to your body...and rest whenever you can...I'll answer any questions you have ...at least the ones I have answers for...
Keep posting...the support here is fantastic...
Lynn
