Healthcare in this country has been a problem for a long time and it's the fault of both parties. Those "fatcats" are also members of both parties, contrary to popular belief. It's quite aggravating, yes. But an extra few hundred dollars is nice to have...
I know this is completely off the thread topic but since it has been brought up, I have an interesting take on the supposed "growing" healthcare problem. Back when Clinton was President, his wife told us how there were 40 million people without healthcare. 1994 estimate: Health Insurance Percentage) The population was about 255 million. Information Please: 1992 That means we had 16% of the population without healthcare. We now have a popultaion of 300 million and we are being told we have 46.6 million without healthcare. Number of Americans without Health Insurance Continues to Grow (misnomer headline) That's 15.5% of the population, a drop of .5%. So under President Bush, we now have a lower percentage of the population without healthcare than under Clinton. Hmmmm.
