Pardon me, but it's been a year and a half since the hurricane. Why the hell are there still people living in FEMA housing? I didn't realize FEMA was supposed to be a lifelong welfare agency. These people should have been thrown out on their asses a long time ago because they are clearly lazy or stupid and have no initiative whatsoever to put their own lives back together. How much do you want to bet that these people were living on welfare before the hurricane too?

Quit your bellyaching. Since you give a damn so much about this trash leeching off of all of us why don't you open up your checkbook and adopt a family. No?? Didn't think so. Shut the hell up.

FEMA isn't the problem. We have an in-state program called Louisiana Road Home and our stupid governor hired an out-of-state firm that can't find their asses with both hands to run it. We've also had insurance companies that refused to pay the claims so many were left with no money with which to make repairs.
I'm still in a FEMA trailer because it took so long for my money to come in and that's the cases for many around here. My daughter moved back into her house last week after being in a FEMA trailer since the storm. Believe me, I think most would rather be living in their own homes than the little camper-type trailers supplied by FEMA!
As for those in N.O., many of those people were renters in the housing projects and they're demanding that the city repair the pre-storm dilapidated housing instead of building new ones. Some have been offered new housing, ready to be occupied, with updated appliances, a/c and heat, etc. and the idiots turned them down because they want to go back to the projects. Go figure.
