Weve been dealing with Iran diplomatically for 30 years now. Where has it gotten us? As you said, the US has no wish to go to war. Its simply inevitable as no one else will do anything about it. Somehow the US gets crticism for the rest of the worlds aggression and failure. I suppose thats the price we pay for being the leader of the world.
Exactly. We europeans take our freedom to bitch, but when it comes hard to hard, you rule. But that mechanism is desintegrating rapidly since 2003. I think you are right if you say that what we are facing in Iran is a result of decades of bad, lazy diplomacy. That's why I consider Iran having nukes as a defeat for the entire west. But it's inevitable by now, and the last stupid move in this game was made in D.C, not in Bruxelles or at NATO headquarters.
