We only have two viable parties in the USA, so if you exclude one entirely you are far from independent. Hey, it's ok IM, you can come out of the closet - you are a democrat.

I am far from independent? How so? Because as far as I'm concerned, I know I don't like Republicans and I think Democrats can be oretty sneaky as well. Thus, that makes me independent from any political party. I'm not even registered to vote. THAT's how independent I am.
