Seems to me this was a campaign pledge from Ms. Pelosi. She certainly raised the issue of the Republican congress' work hours.

Watch the video, and see how well she's kept her pledge.....

And this is why things with our government are so screwy... past and present. Chrissake put down the pina coladas and get to work! Looks like they are trying different things and this new policy is still under the works. I believe that they are trying a two weeks on-week off in the district thing right now. It probably puts more hours than Bush ever has in his whole time in office thus far...
