Where's Edwards' plan for protecting medical providers from bogus lawsuits?

He's a complete hypocrite when it comes to health care costs. He's part of the industry that has made them so high to begin with - sleazy malpractice lawyers.

We have a major insurance crisis in the country, one which Edwards helped create. Because of predatory lawyers who will go to court and argue that every birth defect is caused by malpractice, OB/GYNs are going out of business across the country. Malpractice insurance premiums of over $100,000 a year are common, even for physicians who have never had a malpractice claim.

It works like this Matt, if the lawsuit is bogus, the jury finds for the defendant.

Remember the OB/GYN that Bush brought up onto his campaign platform and introduced as a doctor forced out by high premiums, the reason this doctor had to pay high premiums was because one time during the delivery of a baby, he got hungry, and went out and got something to eat, leaving the patient unattended, and leaving the baby to suffer irreparable brain damage.

Imagine, the insurance companies raised this guy's premiums.
