To help get this, ahem, back on track, here's one of the Audubon Society's permanent resident "goodwill ambassadors":

This bird was brought in for rehab after an injury, but could not be rehabilitated enough to return to the wild, so she is now a permanent resident of the center. She goes to schools and community events to educate people on the issues facing the bald eagle.

Every time I read "Audubon Society", I have to laugh. John Audubon killed thousands of birds for his paintings!
